We grab a quick 5 minutes with the talented Rich Mulryne of the Cornish-born band "3 Daft Monkeys" and here's what he had to say about his career in music...

How did you start?
I first started in a band called the Hitch Cock Rules that was an indie rock band. The band was made up of five other members and was formed whilst we were all studying at Truro College in Cornwall. After a year the band then parted ways and I decided to start playing with another rock band called the “3 Daft Monkeys” which was formed in 1999.
Who’s makes up the band?
We have Tim Ashton who does vocals and plays the 12 string guitar and penny whistle. Athene Roberts on violin, accordion and vocals and there's Jamie Graham on the 6 string bass. Then there's me, and I play a bespoke hand percussion kit.
Where do you practise?
We often practise down in Falmouth or we occasionally practise at each other house’s it just all depends really.
What’s your biggest crowd that you’ve performed to?
Our biggest crowd that we’ve performed to would have to be fifteen thousand people on the main stage at Beautiful Days, which is held at Escot Park in Devon.
Where are you performing next?
We're performing at a load of gigs this year [2018]. We basically work throughout the summer really hard and then we occasionally do the odd autumn and winter tour and we have the beginning of spring off before we start up again when all the festivals are on. So this year were doing Beautiful Days again and also Bearded Theory, which is held in Derbyshire. We’ve been performing at Bearded Theory every year since they first opened in 2008 and the festival is getting bigger and better each year. Were also performing in Ibiza at the end of April at a folk festival and this will be three events.
Last year we recorded an album at the recording studio in Perranporth called the Cube. This was where we did a pledge music campaign so we managed to get a funding for the album. So we really do have a good fan base, which are behind us. So it was really nice to know that people were supporting us as a band.
