Want to spoil your mum this Mother's day but not sure where to start? We have you covered with our guide for the best ways to celebrate your wonderful mums.
Mothers Day Pancakes
For that personal DIY touch, nothing says ‘Kick your feet up because you’re so special’ more than breakfast-in-bed. Anyone can treat their mum this mother’s day with a super easy, quick to cook batch of pancakes. Serve them up with mum’s favourite pancake toppings and some fresh flowers for a really thoughtful start to her day.

Ingredients
3 large free-range eggs
115g plain flour
1 heaped teaspoon baking powder
140 ml milk
Method
First separate the eggs, putting the whites into one bowl and the yolks into another.
Add the flour, baking powder and milk to the yolks and mix to a smooth thick batter.
Heat a non-stick pan over a medium heat, pour some of the batter into the pan and cook for a couple of minutes, or until it starts to look golden and firm.
At this point sprinkle your chosen flavouring (see below) onto the uncooked side before loosening with a spatula and flipping the pancake over. Continue frying until both sides are golden.

Out to Dinner

On the hunt for a last-minute Mother’s Day treasure? Look no further than Falmouth’s own Bahama Mamas! As well as their ethos for locally-sourced food, they are also a recent champion of the Plastic-Free Falmouth campaign.
Bahama Mamas is a new multi-cuisine restaurant where you will be spoilt for choice whether you go for breakfast, lunch, tea or drinks. With a wide selection of vegan and vegetarian foods this will be a family outing that satisfies all. When we arrived we were welcomed with smiles all-round and the atmosphere was vibrant. The whole establishment is bursting with colour and excitement, just like their food. We settled down after being offered a menu and some drinks and after looking over all the choices I ordered the Prince Mackerel served with roasted veg on grilled bread along with some sweet potato fries. Our food arrived shortly and I can say I was utterly delighted with the whole experience, the flavours were incredible and the portion sizes meant there was still some space for dessert. We split a zesty lemon cheesecake which was the perfect after dinner treat, without being too sweet and left me wanting more. With so much choice of food I would recommend trying one of the main dishes along with any of the tasty sides.

All the staff including John Duncan, the owner were happy and welcoming. With such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, this restaurant is great for everyone at any time of day. Their opening hours are 10am to 3pm and then again from 6pm till late Monday-Sunday.
However you decide to spend Mother's Day we hope you find the perfect way to make your mum happy and spread the joy.
