A simple solution to keeping the kids or grandkids occupied today is with the chocolate nests. An easy to follow recipe where everyone can get involved. The little ones will love that they can get involved in every step of the recipe. They’re a great way for the family to get together and enjoy some time together decorating and eating a homemade Easter treat.

Firstly you’ll need to melt 50g of butter, 100g of chocolate and 3 Tablespoons of golden syrup together in a bowl. You can do this over a saucepan of boiling water or the kids can do it with 10 second intervals in the microwave, stirring every 10 secs. When everything has melted and is stirred together, pour in 100g of cornflakes and stir with a wooden spoon.

Spoon the mixture into nest shapes on a baking tray or into a cupcake tin lined with paper cases. Leave the nests to set in the fridge for 20 mins and then gather the family together around the table to decorate with your favourite chocolate eggs - we used mini eggs! Show us your Easter creations with #ShareYourJoy and have a Happy Easter!
